JULY 5 2012 ORPHAN FAWN IN THE EVERGLADES

This fawn was spotted back in May 2012 along the wildlife drive.  Apparently it is an orphan, it has been in the same area and no adult since May.  We are all cheering that the fawn continues to thrive.  The tour guides believe it has not been eaten by predators, because the area it is staying in has lots of human scent.  Will continue to update about the fawn as I can.

JULY 2, 2012 THE WATERS BACK!!!

It's been pretty bleak in the lower Everglades, water was just barely visible in the deeper channels.  Until Tropical Storm Debby!  During the end of Debby; the Coastal Prairie was completely underwater with waves cresting due to the high wind gusts.  Now the water has gone down, but is sheeting the land; as it should be!
